东溪社区在甲子镇瀛江西岸，北起元高社区，南到东宫社区，西到新湖社区，东面临瀛江。[1]

概况[edit]

社区介绍称其成立于1955年，辖区0.14平方公里，沿江大道、海滨路、中街穿过，办公地点在文化公园内。2016年有1963户、10587人，其中居住户1319户、7251人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网载，1950年设东溪社府；到1954年改叫街道区，1956年成为居民委员会，1964年建立了中共东溪支部。1968年称革命委员会，1975年称「五七」大队。1979年起叫管理区，1984年叫居民管理区，1987年1月重新叫居民委员会，同月东宫从东溪分出。1991年改称办事处，1999年回到居委会，2002年起为东溪社区居委会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，社区入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2020年12月，获广东省爱卫会授予的2020年广东省卫生村称号。[2]
