两东社区在甲子镇北部，北起陆甲大道，南到元高社区，西邻城东社区，东连东湖社区。[1]
概况[edit]
辖区约2平方公里，有2948户，常住9943人，党员94名，分10个网格；沿街商铺五百多间，主要街道有陆甲大道、新中路、真君街、光明路。辖区有耕地299.1亩，其中基本农田78亩、荒地60亩、山坡地161.1亩，多在陈口坑、两东农场和新变电站一带。[1]
区内设甲子第二中学，甲子第二小学、育苗小学，以及幼儿园五所，镇中心幼儿园也在这里。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
博雅地名网所记：1950年，东关与北栅合为东栅社，东湖与半径合为东径社；1956年两社并为两东居民区，名称由此而来。1988年叫管理区，1999年恢复居委会，2002年起为两东社区居委会。[2]社区自己的介绍则说它成立于上世纪六十年代。[1]
文化[edit]
辖区内的王公祠（龙尾王爷公）被介绍为三甲地区主要的宗教活动场所，另有德一善堂和双人祠各一座。社区内的吉安村是自然古村落，全村只有汪姓一姓。[1]
