水唇村在水唇镇东部，榕江河与吉溪河都从境内流过，陆五公路、陆普公路经过村旁。[2][3]“水唇”本指水边：驻地地势低，在河岸边。[3]村有11个自然村，其中石下坝是镇政府介绍里提到的船形古寨。[1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

这里旧称水唇圩，新中国成立后是水唇乡，1952年为第十二区水唇区的驻地一带，1958年成立水唇大队。其后依次改作乡人民政府（1984年3月）、村委会（1986年）、管理区（1990年），1999年起称水唇村民委员会。[3]

人口与经济[edit]

镇政府新介绍称面积30.24平方千米，914户5074人，常住3061人；自然村有石下坝、欧坑、社背、水唇排、楼下、付隆、下莲塘、上莲塘、横岭各、柏树和付坑。[1]较早资料记全村面积同为30.24平方千米，耕地约1600亩。[2]

村里引进过林场，连片种了1500多亩速生桉；田里种水稻、花生，付坑办有猪场、鸡场。[2][3]2020年8月，水唇村以鹰嘴桃入选首批「广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」，2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[3]
