新里村在赤石镇南部，村委会驻地新里离集镇约2公里，面积11平方千米，是依山傍水的农业村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年属第四区赤石乡；1952年由鲤鱼埔村和邻近几个村合成新鲤乡，1958年称赤石新鲤大队，1974年改名新里大队。1984年为赤石区公所新里乡，1987年起称赤石镇新里村委会，1989年改管理办事处，1998年恢复村委会。[1]

地理与经济[edit]

村有里鱼埔、深冲等4个村民小组，共359户1661人，耕地2862亩，山地1.16万亩。以种稻、番薯、葛薯、花生为主，兼种柑橘和蜜柚，也有水产养殖；秋塘水库库容24万立方米，深冲水库12万立方米。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内有海丰旧八景之一的凤河晚渡。据村情介绍，村里的谭公爷庙是海丰县第一届人民政府成立的地方，千秋塘古寨已存在近350年，五龙峰山上有飞龙瀑。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2026年1月，新里村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
