园林社区（博雅地名网和百度百科的写法是圆林社区）在赤石镇南部，东边接圆墩村的圆墩小组，北靠新里村深冲，西与鹅埠镇田寮村交界，面积约1平方千米；这里原是林场场部所在，后来成为圆墩乡政府的驻地。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1994年林场撤场建乡，成立圆墩乡人民政府，同时设圆林居委会。2003年起社区居委会改称社区居民委员会；2004年底圆墩乡撤并，另设圆墩林业管理处（副科级，归县林业局管），社区则交赤石镇管辖，博雅地名网的沿革栏记为2005年。[1][2]

人口与经济[edit]

常住165户，户籍人口368人。居民多为林业管理处和镇政府的干部职工及家属，沿广汕公路开饭馆、外出打工或跑运输；佛湖山泉矿泉水厂也在辖区内。[2]
