梅东村在梅陇镇东部，距镇区约4.5公里，面积约3.1平方千米，2010年总人口2659人，经济以农业为主。[1] 官方名单共列6个自然村，即埔仔、涂头、莲溪、罗境、新地、彭家围。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年设第三区梅东乡，1958年改梅东大队，1984年称梅东乡，1987年为梅东村委会，1989年设管理区办事处，1998年复设村委会。[1]

集体经济[edit]

据2023年5月的报道，村里与一家农业公司合作，流转150多亩农田种植「香雪富硒丝苗米」，并推行「渔光一体」光伏发电项目，出租闲置鱼塘的塘面。[3] 2023年5月，梅东村获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
