历史沿革[edit]
旧称梅花乡，后按方位分为梅东、梅西，村名由此而来。[1]1949年前为陇美、东门两村，1949年后合为一村；其后依次称大队（1958年）、乡（1984年）、村（1987年）、管理区（1993年），1999年改称村委会至今。[1]
经济[edit]
有耕地3561亩，鱼塘、蔬菜等高产高效农业900亩，山林5554亩。村有较大企业15家、小企业百余家，建筑施工队30支。[2]村内建有占地8亩的梅东公园。[2]
