红阳村地处山区，2010年总人口1606人，耕地2220亩，以种水稻和蔬菜为主。[1] 官方名单共列4个自然村，即新丰村（米田村）、新建村（上格村）、官田寨、孔子门。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1955年从梅西大队分出，设新厝乡；1958年为新厝大队，1961年又分出孔子门大队；1968年「文革」期间改红阳大队，1984年称红阳乡，1987年5月为红阳村委会，1989年称管理区办事处，1998年复设村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年5月，红阳村获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
