牛肚村是汕尾市城区捷胜镇南面的行政村，境内有新石器时代的牛肚南遗址。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代，汕尾新地村的周姓人家迁到这里立村，起名「牛肚」。清末一度改称「文公乡」，村民觉得改名后诸事不顺，又恢复旧名。公社化时期设牛肚大队，1989年改管理区，1999年成立村民委员会。[1]
