北门社区是汕尾市城区捷胜镇的社区，镇政府及派出所、卫生院等机构所在，是镇的政治、文化和商贸中心。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
旧称北门村；公社化后叫北村大队，为纪念「五一」劳动节又改称五一大队，后与东村、西村、南村合并为捷胜居委会。1990年起另设北门居委会，沿用至今。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网，社区总人口6158人，其中居民约2600人，是镇内人口最多的村级单位；国土面积4平方千米，耕地1200亩，以轻工业和农业为主。镇里唯一的工业区「长埔工业区」设在此处，有制衣、纺织、珍珠加工等厂。[1]北门另建有一座超充站，已投入使用。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2020年12月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2020年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
北门外有一座革命烈士纪念碑，1956年经海丰县人民政府批准建造，分大小两碑，大碑刻108位烈士姓名，小碑为烈士李劳工之碑。[3]
