埔尾村是汕尾市城区捷胜镇的行政村，在汕尾市区西南侧，辖埔尾、笏仔、公顶坑3个自然村，村民擅长古建筑营造。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初期称西郊乡，属捷胜区；合作化时叫埔尾社；人民公社期间为埔尾大队；1984年改称埔尾乡；1990年改管理区，1999年成立村民委员会。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

据博雅地名网，村域约5.8平方千米，719户、3562人，其中埔尾2926人、笏仔420人、公顶坑216人；耕地532亩，其中水田123亩。村民从事农业与建筑业，当地称这里是建筑之乡，尤以修建古建筑闻名。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月和2020年12月，先后进入2018年度、2020年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
