沙角尾村是汕尾市城区捷胜镇东面沿海的行政村，距镇政府约2.5千米，村里有通往龟龄岛的小型码头。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年，沙角尾与坣头、大塘三村连成沙塘乡，属捷胜区；1958年分出，设沙角尾大队，隶捷胜公社；1989年改设管理区，1999年成立村民委员会。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

据博雅地名网，全村面积4平方千米，耕地475亩。2004年底有487户、2795人，其中外出520人；渔业是主要产业，有渔船76艘，海水养殖面积240亩。[1]近年村里的莲花池养殖场项目已在安装设备，镇上还谋划打造沙角尾沿海一条街。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村北的山上有大茅山烟墩，清康熙十年（1671年）重修，新中国成立后改作哨所，现只剩一个土堆。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，进入2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2020年12月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2020年广东省卫生村」称号。沙角尾海堤的险情处置，还获得应急管理部的全国通报表扬。[1][2]
