龙坪村在梅州市兴宁市叶塘镇境内，是镇属的行政村。[1]

名称与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，据称数百年前这里干旱，农人只能靠天等雨耕作，起初叫水淋坪；兴宁客家话「淋」与「龙」读音相近，后来被写作水龙坪，再简称龙坪。[1]

1949年建国初为龙坪村农会，1950至1957年改称大队；1963年起设龙坪乡，至1986年；此后叫管理区，1999年定为村民委员会。[1]
