下洋村在梅州市兴宁市叶塘镇境内，是镇属的行政村。[1]

名称与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村子周围分布着许多水池，远看如同水面，故以「洋」命名。[1]

1949年建国初为下洋村农会，1950至1957年改称大队；1963年起设下洋乡，至1986年；此后叫管理区，1999年定为村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2026年3月，广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇认定，该村入选。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

五翰堂在村内，始建于清光绪年间，由当地何姓十七世何奕善的五个儿子所建，因而得名；它是三堂二横的回字形围龙屋，坐北向南，占地约2500平方米，建筑面积约1500平方米，共有7厅6天井36间房。2015年12月2日，兴宁市人民政府将它公布为第三批「兴宁市特色古民居」保护单位。[2]
