霞洞村在兴宁市合水镇境内，是镇辖行政村。罗塘河流经此村，注入合水水库。1949年以前，霞洞与今龙东村合称下硿，后来因「下」与「霞」、「硿」与「洞」谐音，改称霞洞。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

霞洞1951年是乡，1958年为龙北公社霞洞大队，1983年隶龙北区，1987年称龙北霞洞村，1989年称霞洞管理所，1999年定为村委会。2004年11月龙北镇撤销，村划归合水镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 广东省爱国卫生运动委员会2017年10月评定的首批广东省卫生村。[1]
