龙北社区在兴宁市合水镇境内，是镇辖社区。居委会设在原龙北镇的驻地，故以龙北为名；龙北镇后来并入合水镇。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
龙北在新中国成立后先隶龙田区（1949年5月至1957年）。人民公社化后，合水、龙北各设一社，一度（1963年6月）合成一个龙北公社，1966年以后又分开。龙北居委会设于1983年；2004年，龙北与合水两地合并，居委会改称龙北社区居委会。[1]
