洋岭社区位于兴宁市宁新街道西北，总面积3平方千米，属城乡结合区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地周围多矮岗，又种有杨树，起初叫「杨矮岭」，「杨」「洋」同音，也写作「洋矮岭」，后简称洋岭。1960年这里编为洋岭大队，其后依次改为乡（1983年）、村（1987年）、管理区（1989年）和村委会（1999年），2004年起叫社区居委会。[1]
