长东村在广东省梅州市蕉岭县长潭镇，设9个村民小组，在册139户、540人，全村面积0.06平方公里，耕地106亩（据博雅地名网所载村情）。[1]

村在长潭一段石窟河的东岸，故名长东。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

长东之名由来已久。1958年，它是长潭公社的长东生产大队；1983年与长潭大队合并为长潭乡，属长潭区；1987年称长东村委会，1990年改管理区，1999年起仍为村委会。[1]

村里的特色作物是金桔，并产蜂蜜。[1]
