浒竹村在广东省梅州市蕉岭县长潭镇，位于石窟河以西，设14个村民小组，在册517户、1743人，全村面积8.7平方公里，耕地1583亩（据博雅地名网所载村情）。[1]
明末清初（约1654年）这里盛产苦竹，客家话中「苦竹」与「浒竹」音近，村名由此而起。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
该地定名浒竹，在明末清初（村情页另一处作约1645年）。民国十年（1921年）叫浒竹坑，归兴福乡；1933年设乡，新中国成立后一度称村，1952年又设乡，1958年为生产大队。1983年属兴福区，仍设浒竹乡，此后改村委会、管理区，1999年复称村委会。2004年兴福镇撤销，浒竹随之划入长潭镇。[1]
