麻坑村在广东省梅州市蕉岭县长潭镇，位于石窟河以西，设9个村民小组，在册204户、675人，全村面积4.19平方公里，耕地549亩（据博雅地名网所载村情）。[1]
相传这里的山坑土地干旱，村民多种芝麻，因此得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明崇祯六年（1633年）麻坑隶白马乡，民国十年（1921年）叫麻坑里。新中国成立后，1950年成村，1952年单设乡，1958年入长潭公社为大队，1983年重新设乡，1987年起改称村委会，1990年一度叫管理区，1999年恢复村委会之名。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，麻坑村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。村里种香蕉和水稻。[1]
