长庆村在平远县东南部，与梅县区的大坪、石扇两镇相邻。村内8个村民小组，在册283户、1089人，面积11平方千米，耕地950亩。[1][2]

村里种优质稻，特色产业是沙田柚和养猪，依靠金柚专业合作社和养猪专业合作社带动种养，上一年农村经济总收入648万元，并得到省农垦总局挂钩帮扶。[2]

地名由来与沿革[edit]

1933年长田分为治、安、升、平、庆五个保，该村与石角村合为一保，排第五，取「庆」字，称长庆。[1]

建国时为长庆乡；1952年同高南合为庆南乡，人民公社时期是一个大队。1983年又设乡，1987年建村民委员会，1989年叫管理区，1999年4月定名长庆村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

长庆村在2019年9月公布的广东省2018年民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位名单中；2021年9月，它又以金柚产业入选第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村。[1]
