历史沿革[edit]

村名由梅坑、桥头两个自然村合并而来。[2]梅桥在1958年是一个大队，1986年改称乡，翌年成为管理区，到1999年5月才定为村委会。[2]该村2020年被评为「广东省乡村治理示范村」。[3]
