埔河村是丰顺县汤坑镇所辖的行政村之一，位于汤坑镇辖区东北片[1]。村名的来历是：由埔头寨、双河、楼下坝三个自然村合称，称埔河村[2]。2004年10月撤销附城镇后改归汤坑镇管辖[3]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载：1958年公社化时改为埔河大队；此后1983年起叫作汤坑区埔河乡；随后1986年起叫作附城乡埔河管理区；再后来1999年建立埔河村村民委员会；接着2004年附城镇建制撤销后，埔河村民委员会划入汤坑镇。[3]

荣誉：2019年9月，埔河村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

埔河文庙又称文昌阁、文昌庙，改建前叫东海文庙，在村口，面向吊钟山，背靠西山和黎峰山；始建于清代，清道光十八年（1838年）和2005年重修。它高约20米，三层，底层为砖土结构，二层以上为木结构，呈六角形，占地763平方米；1983年公布为丰顺县文物保护单位，后列为梅州市文物保护单位。[4]

徐名鸿故居在埔河村，建于清末，属近现代重要史迹及代表性建筑，是第八批梅州市文物保护单位。[5]
