新铜村是丰顺县汤坑镇所辖的行政村之一，位于汤坑镇东南片[1]。村名的来历是：村东有一座山形似铜盘，起初叫小铜盘，为与铜盘村区别，后称新铜村[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载：1974年从铜盘大队分出，因同属铜盘地面又是新分的大队，定名新铜大队；此后1987年1月从汤坑区划走，由汤坑镇管辖，称新铜管理区；随后1999年建立新铜村民委员会。[3]

荣誉：2019年9月，新铜村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
