金汤村是丰顺县汤坑镇所辖的行政村之一，位于汤坑镇城区周边[1]。村名的来历是：明朝末期（1646年至1662年间），温州府推官返乡修建城寨，取「固若金汤」之意，称金汤寨，村名由此而来[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载：1950年从金盘乡划走，由汤坑镇管辖；此后1955年农业合作化时并入金丰高级社，隶汤坑公社；随后1960年划入城镇农业管区；再后来1961年体制下放，称金汤生产大队，仍属汤坑公社；接着1963年划入汤坑镇；1964年又划走归汤坑公社；此后1976年再从公社划走归汤坑镇；随后1984年起叫作金汤管理区；再后来1999年起叫作金汤村村民委员会。[3]

金汤寨的修筑者，博雅地名网在红卫社区条目中记为明万历年间的亚魁、温州推官化鹏，寨的故事见红卫社区。[3]

荣誉：2019年9月，金汤村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
