砂坪村是梅州市大埔县光德镇的行政村，民国时写作「沙坪」，后改为「砂坪」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明、清两代分别归平原社、源高甲的樟溪村，民国属高陂区光德乡。1952至1956年设高陂区砂坪乡；1958年10月成为高陂公社的砂坪大队，1961年1月起改归光德公社。1983年底设光德区，村为区辖砂坪乡，1986年底区改为镇，成为镇属砂坪村；1998年起称砂坪村民委员会。[1]

2019年9月，砂坪村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
