澄坑村在梅州市大埔县光德镇，辖19个村民小组，有853户、4056人，总面积10.57平方公里，耕地1090亩。^[1]2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村中老人说，澄坑建村六百多年，先到的是陈姓；村旁有一条坑，周边八个行政村的水汇入后流向高陂韩江，因称澄坑（陈坑），今人也叫下澄坑。相传光绪年间曾改作「澄溪」，但村民仍习称澄坑。^[1]^[2]

民国属高陂区高澄乡。1952年设澄坑乡，1957年并入平原乡，1958年冬成为高陂公社的澄坑大队；1961年4月高陂分出四个公社，澄坑大队改归光德公社。1983年设光德区，村为澄坑乡，1986年区改为镇，称镇属澄坑村；1998年起设村民委员会。^[2]

上一年农村经济总收入6173万元。村里发展陶瓷、农村水电，新建了村办公大楼、小学校舍和陶瓷原料厂。2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。^[1]
