九社村是梅州市大埔县光德镇的行政村，原名九子畲。1958年前后改称九社，取「九子畲」的「九」字和农业合作社的「社」字。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
博雅地名网记，村子建于清同治年间（文中同时写作1746年左右，两者不合，该年实为乾隆年间），最初叫九子畲。1952年设高陂区九子畲乡；1958年10月成为高陂公社的九社大队，1961年1月起改归光德公社；1983年底设光德区，村为区辖九社乡；1998年起称光德镇九社村民委员会。[1]
2019年9月，九社村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
1987年，考古人员在九社下窑清理出一座龙窑，窑炉呈阶级式，残长约8.7米，窑内隔成三间，属清嘉庆、道光年间的大埔光德窑。[2]
