福员村，旧作福缘村，是梅州市大埔县高陂镇东部的行政村，以茶叶（王山玉露）闻名，2014年7月被农业部认定为第四批全国一村一品示范村镇。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网，村民的祖先入乡时，该地桂竹很多，起名「竹园畲」；后来人口增多，取有福有缘聚居之意，称「福缘畲」，再改为福员，意为每个村民都是幸福的一员。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初归石云区；1961年起为平原公社的福缘大队，1983年12月改设平原区福缘乡，1986年12月改属平原乡福缘村，1998年改叫福员村民委员会，2004年划入高陂镇。[1]

茶叶与荣誉[edit]

村辖13个村民小组，在册278户、1380人，总面积8平方千米，耕地954亩，主要作物是白叶单丛茶。百度百科称，村内的大王坑自然村主要种茶，被视为茶叶专业村。2014年7月，农业部将福员村（王山玉露）认定为第四批全国一村一品示范村镇；2020年8月，以茶叶进入首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单；2021年12月获评「2021年广东省卫生村」。村集体入股水电站，2009年5月省社保厅帮扶50万元。[1][2]
