逆流村是梅州市大埔县高陂镇的行政村，村名与村里坑水倒流的现象有关。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村中有上坑、南坑、大塘坑3条小坑水倒流而上，再注入小溪，故名逆流。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1576年有杨姓先民入乡，后来郭、黄、连、苏、詹等姓相继迁来定居。明代属清远都平原社平原村，清代属源高甲平原村，民国属高陂区平北乡。「文化大革命」期间曾改称「红流」，之后恢复逆流。1958年10月归高陂公社，设逆流生产大队，1961年1月属平原公社，1983年12月改设平原区逆流乡，1986年12月改属平原乡逆流村。[1]

村情与荣誉[edit]

村辖16个村民小组，在册430户、1935人，总面积8平方千米，耕地1458亩，所载上一年农村经济总收入2381万元。2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位，2021年12月获评「2021年广东省卫生村」。[1]
