古东村是梅州市大埔县高陂镇的行政村，因在古埜的东边而得名，2021年12月获评广东省卫生村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，古东村曾一度叫「岗头」「新生」，后来复称古东。明代属清远都古埜社古埜村，清代属古源甲古埜村，民国归高陂区古埜乡。1952年为洲瑞区岗头乡，1958年10月归高陂公社，设新生大队，1961年划入古埜公社，1986年12月改属古埜乡古东村，1998年设古东村民委员会，2003年复归高陂镇。[1]
村情与荣誉[edit]
村辖13个村民小组，在册459户、2151人，耕地1293亩，所载上一年农村经济总收入2045万元。近年村里修成硬底村道，新建村委大楼，道路装路灯，农田排灌水圳基本做到「三面光」，南坑村民小组新建了老人活动中心。2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位，2021年12月获评「2021年广东省卫生村」。[1]
