下圩社区是惠东县黄埠镇镇中心区的社区居民委员会，旧称霞圩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据地名资料，渔民多在此贩卖鱼虾，“霞”与“虾”同音，故称霞圩，后为书写方便改作下圩。[1]1952年黄埠有下圩、王公、金带街等街区；三联是它的前身，1966年为大队，1984年为乡，1987年为村委，1989年为管理区。到1998年4月，三联、群英、四门三个管理区被撤，原地各设居委，其一即下圩。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，下圩社区被列为2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
