霞坑村是惠东县黄埠镇的行政村，村名由“虾坑”转来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村边有一条形似虾的水坑，原名虾坑，“虾”与“霞”同音，遂作霞坑。[1]清同治九年（1870年）属和平约堡（由平政司巡检管辖），称霞坑小村；1952年属黄埠乡；1965年属黄埠公社，称霞坑大队；1987年3月一度名为新渔村委，1989年定为霞坑管理区，1999年起称村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月被列为2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
