沙埔村是惠东县黄埠镇的行政村，相传由避风渔民定居而成。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据传此处是天然的避风浅海滩，船只常来避风，渔民靠岸晒网、补给粮食，有人开起路边小店并安家，村落由此形成；滩上白沙堆积，远看如埔，因名沙埔。[1]沙埔在1951年12月为惠阳县第十七区的小乡，次年归黄埠乡；1963年2月隶吉隆公社，1965年改隶黄埠公社；1987年3月设村委。1998年4月，东头管理区并入沙埔，1999年称村委会。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月被列为2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
