棠阁村属惠州市惠东县大岭街道，是街道下辖的行政村。据博雅地名网，圩旁有一水塘，原叫塘角圩；民国初年当地士绅嫌「塘角」气象狭小，改名棠阁村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

棠阁在1958年设大队，1984年澄溪并入，合为棠阁乡。1987年3月，惠东府函〔1987〕27号文定为村委会；1990年作管理区，1998年复设村委会。[1]
