白沙布村属惠州市惠东县大岭街道，是街道下辖的行政村。据博雅地名网，清光绪年间村周围的埔地长着许多金樱仔树，春天开白花，叫「白花埔」；当地方言中「埔」与「布」、「沙」与「花」同音，故称白沙布。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

白沙布在清同治九年（1870年）是庆安社堡下的小村，1933年属惠阳县第十区。1958年建乡，1960年与万松、桥星合组白沙布区，1963年脱出，另建大队。其后设村委（1987年3月，据惠东府函〔1987〕27号文）、管理区（1996年）、村委会（1998年）。[1]

荣誉[edit]

白沙布村在2023年4月进入广东省乡村治理示范村创建名单（2022年度）；2026年1月，被评为广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
