文布村属惠州市惠东县大岭街道，是街道下辖的行政村。据博雅地名网，当地曾出过一位游姓秀才，又因方言里「埔」与「布」同音，取名文布。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初期，这里归大洲乡。1958年公社化后，属平山公社的池竹大队。1984年并入大洲乡，1987年3月依惠东府函〔1987〕27号文叫池竹村委，到1990年才以文布为管理区之名，1998年设文布村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，文布村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
