池竹村属惠州市惠东县大岭街道，是街道下辖的行政村。据博雅地名网，村内多数地势较低，四周种满竹子，因此叫池竹村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年，池竹与大洲并为一乡。1987年3月，惠东府函〔1987〕27号文将它定为池竹村委会；1990年与文布分开，另立管理区；1998年恢复村委会之名。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，池竹村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
