新陂村属博罗县柏塘镇。据村中说法，明嘉靖年间（1520年至1550年），王姓先人追赶一只黄獠兽到这片荒地，见适合居住就搬来盖了茅屋；人口增长后，他们垦荒、修水利，在河上新筑陂头引水灌田，村名取作新陂。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清朝时由博罗县苏州巡司署管辖，民国时隶第五区的四维乡。1949年后归柏塘区；1950到1957年称柏塘乡，1958年并入柏塘人民公社。1983年复设区，1986年区改为镇，此地随之归柏塘镇；1990年成立管理区，1999年定名新陂村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年9月，新陂村进入广东省第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，品类是柏塘山茶。[1]2019年9月公布的「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位中，有该地在列。[1]
