长兴社区位于惠州市惠城区横沥镇。1989年长兴街建成，社区之名与此街有关；其前身是原矮陂镇的居委会。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1988年称惠阳县矮陂居委会；其后2003年划出惠阳、归入惠城区，同时并进横沥镇；随后2006年矮陂镇并入横沥镇后，改名长兴居委会（社区）。[1]
