历史沿革[edit]
1949年时属东江区。公社化时期，这里归惠阳县的横沥人民公社；其后的1980年为横沥镇下的泰安管理区，直到1998年才撤区建村，设泰安村委会。[1]
经济[edit]
据博雅地名网，全村650户、4150人，辖区面积18平方千米。耕地方面，水田4000亩，旱地1200亩，另有30亩鱼塘。2008年村经济总收入为3320万元，村民人均收入8000元，次年（2009年）村子被评为国家级生态示范村。[2]村里种植梅菜，当地称其自然条件适宜，周边没有工业工厂。[2]村中还留有两棵树龄千年以上的古榕。[2]
