地名与沿革[edit]

保安村民委员会设于1998年11月，由怀集县人民政府以怀发〔1998〕20号文批准；名称取自辖区内较大的保安村落，也有护佑村民安居之意。[1]1958年设大队；1983年与朝进合并成朝安乡；1989年两地又各自设管理区。[1]

全村3700多人，辖17个村民小组，总面积3.2万亩，耕地1200亩、山地2.2万亩。[1]
