龙村是怀集县冷坑镇东南部的一个行政村，距圩镇5公里。据博雅地名网转载的村情资料（未注明年份），全村人口2,459人，耕地1087亩，其中旱地59.5亩；产业上，种植水稻；手工业以编织藤椅为主；村集体建有水电站，装机容量200千瓦。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据村情资料，该地建制先后为：龙凼大队（1958年）；龙凼乡（1983年）；改称龙凼管理区（1989年）；龙村村村民委员会，沿用至今（1988年）。[1]

村民委员会成立于1998年11月，由怀集县人民政府以怀发〔1998〕20号文批准，因驻地在本村而用此名。[1]
