历史沿革[edit]

据村情资料，该地建制先后为：新中国成立初期为官屋大队；改名前进大队（1966年）；改称前进管理区（1987年）；前进村民委员会（1998年）。[1]

村民委员会成立于1998年11月，由怀集县人民政府以怀发〔1998〕20号文批准，因驻地在本村而用此名。[1]
