草朗村是汶朗镇南部的行政村，东边是华新村，北边是平龙村，南、西两面与怀城街道辖地相接。[1][2]村辖19个自然村，设一个党支部，有党员57人，总人口3516人。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历，据博雅地名网所录：村内靠近圩镇西南的大片水田，传说最初有人来此开田时遍地黄草，田又是深达一米以上的泥浆朗田，因而叫草朗。[2]此地1955年有草朗、乐洞两个高级社，次年之后成为同名的两个大队，直到1966年才合成一个草朗大队；其后依次改称草朗乡（1983年）、村委会（1987年）、管理区（1992年），1998年定名村民委员会。[2]

经济[edit]

耕地合计165.23公顷，水田占90.0公顷，旱地占71.87公顷；其中162公顷划为保护区，比例达98.5%。[2]当地以种稻和劳务输出为主，全部自然村道已硬底化。[2]2020年8月，草朗村（汶朗蜜柚）列入广东省首批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村名单；2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局把它列为2021年度乡村治理示范村的创建单位。[2]
