美南村是广东省肇庆市怀集县坳仔镇辖下的行政村，村域面积12.45平方千米，地处镇东北方向，分南湾、南塘、美女三片。共21个村民小组，568户，3005人，耕地1350亩，山地2.5万亩。三片各有一所小学。村集体经济薄弱，村民人均年收入4848元。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村委会设在美南村，村名由此而来。1998年，怀集县政府以怀发〔1998〕20号文批复成立村民委员会。此前的称谓依次为：美南大队（1958年）、美南乡、美南管理区。[1]
