广利社区是肇庆市鼎湖区广利街道办事处所在的社区，坐落于广利圩一带，东起广利城中路，西到红亭路口，与桂城街道分界，北抵广利新广大路的新村小区，南临西江。[1]辖区约5平方千米，居民约3000户、7000多人，博雅地名网归为主城区。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
辖区的建制始于1975年1月。1976年，广利圩镇设第一居民委员会，隶高要县广利镇；1983年隶鼎湖区广利镇；1990年8月增设第二居民委员会；1993年两会合并为一个居委会；2002年2月改为广利社区居委会，归广利街道。[1]
“广利”之名，据博雅地名网所述，来自北宋至道二年（996年）修筑榄江堤后当地“地广物阜、财利亨通”的说法。[1]
