桑垌村是信宜市思贺镇辖下的行政村，在镇域东南部，村域21.54平方公里、耕地2503.5亩，分9个村民小组[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期归桑垌甲，解放初成立桑垌乡人民政府，1955年入初级社，1961年起为桑垌大队；1983年改设乡政府，1987年起为村民委员会，1991年一度叫管理区办事处，1999年复称桑垌村民委员会并沿用至今[1]。

名称由来[edit]

明朝初年，汉人迁来后在山下小河两岸大量种桑，迁入时又带来蚕种，养蚕业闻名内外，相传桑田有六七百亩，人们因此称这里为桑垌，民国初年仍有种桑[2]。
