地名由来[edit]
据博雅地名网，过去村民家境清贫，多住茅草盖的房子，村因此叫茅垌。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立初年立茅垌乡，1958年改作生产大队，此后经乡政府、管理区办事处等阶段，1999年起称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2023年5月，该村获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
