大樟根村是广东省茂名市信宜市大成镇所辖的行政村，位于大成镇东部[1]。名称由来：因当地从前长有许多樟树而得名[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

据村情记载，民国时期为白石上乡第八堡，随后解放初为第八村，随后1960年分为河仓、大樟根两个生产大队，随后1963年合并为大樟根生产队，随后1983年改设大樟根乡政府，随后1987年成为大樟根村民委员会，随后至1992年改称大樟根管理区办事处，随后直到1999年才称大樟根村民委员会[1]。

人口与经济[edit]

据博雅地名网所载村情，村内设18个村民小组，在册496户、2600人，总面积8平方千米，耕地600亩；种植的作物主要是水稻和玉米[1]。林业和龙眼是村里的特色收入；记载称上一年农村经济总收入120万元。博雅地名网把该村写作大樟村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2019年12月，列入国家林业和草原局公布的「第二批国家森林乡村」名单。[1]
